XR Color Match AI
Mac only, no Windows version. Download with a free account - created in 30 seconds.
Reference-based color grading, right inside After Effects. Point at the layer whose colors you love - another shot, a still frame - and the plugin carries its grade over to yours. Five transfer methods, palette-based color remapping, skin protection and DaVinci-style primaries. No internet connection, no license, no models to download.
5 methods
From Reinhard, fast and safe, to Monge-Kantorovich, the reference academic method (Pitié & Kokaram, 2007) that aligns cross-channel correlations and avoids drifts - electric blues, orange skin. Chroma only leaves luminance untouched, Curves follows the reference to the letter.
Palette & skin
The plugin extracts the reference's dominant colors: one click copies the hex code, and each hue can be remapped to a color of your choice. Skin protection measures the subject's actual skin tone on their face (Apple's Vision framework) before grading everything else.
Light and instant
No AI model to load: under 1 MB on disk, universal Apple Silicon and Intel. Analyzing the reference takes 45 ms, once; each frame then costs 3 to 5 ms in 1080p.
Requirements
- macOS 12 (Monterey) or later
- Apple Silicon or Intel - universal plugin, no Rosetta
- After Effects (SmartFX API, since CC 2015)
- Under 1 MB of disk space
- No internet connection required
License
Personal plugin, distributed as is, without warranty. It embeds no third-party models: all the color math is original code, and face detection relies on Apple's Vision framework, already part of macOS. The Monge-Kantorovich method implements the algorithm published by F. Pitié and A. Kokaram (CVMP 2007).
