Drop a WAV, AIFF or MP3. It is decoded in memory by the browser, never sent to a server or written to your disk; it disappears when the tab closes. One track at a time. Listening applies the mastering live, with no wait; the full render (exact measurements, export) runs in the background in a few seconds.
Original and Master play side by side, switching between them is instant. "Same volume" brings the original and the master to the same level (the quieter one is raised as long as it does not clip, the louder one is only lowered for the rest): at equal volume only the sound counts, and it is the only way not to be fooled by the "louder = better" reflex. When off, each plays at its true volume. When a reference is loaded, "Reference" plays it at the same point in the track. A click on the waveform moves playback; "Loop" replays the track endlessly.
Auto analyses the track and decides everything by itself (see below). Standard only does what is needed: loudness and peak to standard, a capped finishing EQ derived from the spectrum, gentle bus compression. Vintage gives the garage rock sound recorded on tape: oversampled analogue saturation, mids and presence forward, a full low end tightened in the centre, dense compression; its balance is modelled on reference tracks of that style. Warm rounds things off, Air opens up the top. Punch, for hip-hop and anything that has to hit hard: kick and bass forward and tightened in the centre, vocals up front (presence added in the centre only), strong parallel compression for a dense, compact track. Reference matches the sound of a track you like (see below). Intensity sets everything at once: 100 % is the default, as pronounced as an online mastering service; up to 150 % for a heavier sound, below for a light finish.
When dropped, the track is analysed: its spectrum, its dynamics and the role of percussion (separating hits from sustained notes), which is what sets genres apart the most. Auto compares it with profiles measured on reference tracks with similar percussion and only corrects what falls outside their range: spectral balance, stereo width, saturation and compression are set from the analysis, and the character of the track is preserved. Intensity remains the only control.
Drop a track whose sound you like on the Reference card. It is analysed in the browser, like yours, and nothing is uploaded. The mastering then takes on its frequency balance (measured on its loudest passages, smoothed to a third of an octave), its stereo width band by band, its dynamics and its level. Only the character of the sound is copied, not the music. Pick a well-produced reference in the same genre. "Reference" in the listening controls plays it at the same volume as the master for comparison. Intensity sets the amount of correction: at 100 % the match is complete.
Choose according to where the track will be heard. Streaming (−14 LUFS): YouTube, Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music turn down anything louder than this level, without ever raising anything quieter; a louder master would not sound louder there, only more squashed. At −14, the master keeps all its dynamics. Social (−10 LUFS, default): SoundCloud, Instagram or TikTok play the sound as is, the master has to hold its own against other tracks. Club (−8 LUFS): as loud as possible, for sound systems, DJs, parties and direct listening. "Like the reference" takes the loudness and peak of your reference.
24-bit WAV at the original sample rate, or 320 kbit/s MP3 encoded in the browser. The file name keeps the character and intensity you chose. Nothing is written until you click.
